“Discourse With The Birds” by Liew Suet Fun

“Discourse With The Birds” written by Liew Suet Fun, is a book of poems that summons the experience of life. It brings back so many memories from the past. The poems and expressions are honorably nostalgic, I truthfully see most of the poems in the book as a key that unlocks all of the stored wonders of my childhood from the back of my head.

And within these pages, you will get a glimpse of the Malaysian experience the book provides. I personally felt waves of loss and wonder all at once just by reading one of the poems called “Remembrance”. It flipped a switch in me that I never knew existed.

This book is one of the few books that actually helped me improve my writing skills. I usually recommend this book to anyone who is passionate about the English language.

I advise everyone, whether you are a beginner in learning the English language or not, to read this book. It was the point of no return for me while learning how to speak and write fluently in English.
